Inspired by the Landscape is my (David Barrett) way of providing inspiring digital and landscape photography workshops and tuition.
If you would like to know more me click here or browse my landscape photography blog. If want to know more about the workshops, read on and explore this website.
Feedback from my clients and guests can be found on the testimonials page. Locations for the landscape photography workshops include the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, and further afield in some of the UK’s most photographically inspiring areas such the Scottish Highlands, the Northumberland and Yorkshire coasts, and the Brecon Beacons. I also lead small-group and one-to-one digital photography editing and post-production workshops. Some of these are combined with out-in-the-landscape location work. Digital workflow applications covered include Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, Capture NX and the full range of plugins from Nik Software. Nikon or Canon-specific workshops are available for digital SLR beginners who appreciate a context where everybody is using the same camera menus and terminology.
Workshop groups are kept deliberately small to ensure everyone receive lots of individual support, guidance and encouragement. Landscape photography workshop group numbers never exceed five, while “classroom-based” digital workflow groups are limited to eight. Bespoke one-to-one workshops are also available.
Workshops range from a single-day to a full residential week.
In addition to my Inspired by the Landscape workshops, I develop and lead photography holidays for the award-winning HF Holidays and teach adult education photography classes for Cumbria County Council.
